Mobile Banking with Valley Oak Credit Union

Access your Valley Oak Credit Union account anytime, anywhere by using your mobile phone. If you have the ability to browse the web from your mobile phone or just the ability to text message, you can bank on your phone! All information transmitted between servers and your mobile device is encrypted at the same high security level as regular online banking.

Download our mobile application to your Android Smartphone or iPhone. To download the app, please visit your phone’s app market ("App Store" for iPhone; "Google Play" for Android) and search for "Valley Oak Credit Union".

How to enroll in Mobile Banking

If you have already enrolled in Online Banking, please use the same username and password.

If you have not enrolled in Online Banking, please follow these steps:

  1. Enter your primary member number (account number) as the Username.
  2. Enter your password (primary member's birth year and the first 2 characters of their last name in all CAPS).
  3. Follow the instructions on your screen to change your username, password, and set up your security questions.

Electronically submit checks for deposit using the It’s Me 247 Mobile Banking App! Simply snap a picture of your check, review the deposit amount and click deposit. It’s secure, simple, and efficient!

Once you have downloaded and logged in to the It’s Me 247 Mobile Banking App, navigate to “Move Money”, then select “Register” to get started! Enrollment in this service is required and available to eligible members only. Once you've enrolled follow the easy steps below. Please contact us if you have questions regarding your eligibility.

Remote Deposit in 6 Easy Steps*

  1. Open Valley Oak mobile APP
  2. Select Move Money and then Deposit Check
  3. Choose your account and enter the deposit amount.
  4. Take a photo of the front of your check.
  5. On the back of your check, endorse your check & write ‘Mobile Deposit @ Valley Oak CU Only" and the date, then take a photo of the back of your check.
  6. Receive confirmation of your deposit.

Mobile Deposits are subject to verification and not available for immediate withdrawal. Make sure to hold onto your check for a week.

*Data connection is required for this service.  Valley Oak does not charge a fee for the use of the Mobile Banking App, however normal data usage rates may be assessed by your wireless carrier.

It's Me 247 Text Banking

How to Get Started

You can enroll in Text Banking by hovering over the ‘Go Mobile’ button on the It’s Me 247 toolbar. Then click More Information to access the enrollment screens.  After enrollment, text commands to IM247 (46247).

With Text Banking you can:

  • Send a text message command to receive text message replies regarding the balance of your savings, checking, certificate, loan, and credit card accounts.
  • Enroll in e-Alerts and receive notices regarding account balances, electronic deposits, withdrawals, or when a payment is due.

Text Banking Commands

The following are Text Banking command examples and their responses. You can also access a list of these commands via a link in online banking during the Text Banking enrollment process. These commands can be sent to IM247 (46247).

One-Way Text Alerts

You can set up one-way Text alerts via the e-Alert Subscriptions page, and create alerts similar to your standard e-Alerts:

  • Account balance
  • Notification of an ACH deposit or withdrawal
  • Notification that a loan payment is due
  • E-Notice notification

How much will this cost?

Please see the Text Banking page in online banking for fee disclosures. In addition to any fees the credit union may charge, your mobile phone carrier may charge you standard text messaging fees. Please check with your mobile phone carrier if you aren’t sure what fees apply when you send and receive text messages.


Mobile Web Requirements

You must have an active account and a valid mobile phone number. Additionally, you must have the ability to browse the internet on your mobile phone. Please keep in mind data charges from your service provider will likely apply (unless you have an unlimited data plan). No special phones are required as an internet enable mobile phone will be compatible.

Safety Tips

To minimize Mobile Banking risks, please review some very important safety tips:

  • Lock phones with a lock code if available
  • Turn off Bluetooth capability when not in use. (Hackers can view/download the content of your phone via the Bluetooth connection, without you knowing it.)
  • Purge text messages regularly
  • Delete cached data from mobile browsers
  • Do not allow mobile browsers to store online banking credentials
  • Do not disclose personal information via text messaging
  • Do not leave your phone unattended
  • Visit trusted sites only and don't click on suspicious email messages and embedded links, just as on a computer
  • Contact Valley Oak Credit Union immediately if your phone is stolen
  • Do not jailbreak, root, or otherwise modify your phone
