Did you know that every single member of the Valley Oak Credit Union has a savings account? This is because membership in a credit union requires you to first open a savings account — and saving for your future is healthy.

Regular Share Savings
With an initial deposit of just $25, and a daily balance of $250 or more, our Regular Savings account pays you interest compounded monthly, helping to grow your nest egg more quickly over time. The money in your savings can be used as overdraft protection for your checking account and can be deposited and withdrawn at any of our branches, as well as transferred to other Valley Oak accounts through online banking or the Audio Response Line.
We provide a monthly savings statement (we encourage you to sign up for eStatements to minimize the risk of identity theft and to save resources), and your funds are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, a fund backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
Learning to save and manage money is important. Thanks to Valley Oak's Junior Accounts, it can be fun too. It’s the perfect way to teach kids of all ages the value of saving money on a regular basis.
Statistics show that most kids today don’t learn nearly enough about effectively managing money. By starting the education process as early as possible, your children or grandchildren will be better equipped to make wise financial decisions in the future.
Our Junior Accounts are specially tailored for ages 0-17. A low opening deposit of $5 is all that is required.
