COVID-19 Financial Relief

Valley Oak Credit Union is committed to being a resource for our members and community. We understand that many members may be impacted by the current public health emergency.

For our members that may suffer financial hardships due to illness or a layoff from work because of COVID-19, please reach out to Valley Oak for emergency assistance during these uncertain times. You could be eligible for a special loan product, credit card assistance and payment deferment on existing loans.

Golden State Stimulus Payment (GSSP):

As you may have heard, California will provide the Golden Status Stimulus payment to families and people who qualify. This is a one-time $600 or $1,200 payment per tax return.

When can I expect to receive my GSSP? 

The California Franchise Tax Board will issue stimulus payments monthly after eligible 2020 tax returns are processed.

  • Direct deposits: Allow up to 45 days
  • Paper checks: Allow up to 60 days

Payments are anticipated to begin mid-April 2021

We encourage all members who receive a physical check to use our Valley Oak Mobile App to deposit the check remotely.

  • Do not provide your personal information through email, text, or incoming calls. Valley Oak will never contact you directly to verify your account information or security information.

SBA Payment Protection Program

At this time, Valley Oak Credit Union is an approved SBA Payment Protection Program only lender. SBA is currently accepting Second Draw PPP loan applications from participating lenders.

The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) now allows certain eligible borrowers that previously received a PPP loan to apply for a Second Draw PPP Loan with the same general loan terms as their First Draw PPP Loan.

We Are Here For You

Valley Oak is here for your personal and financial well-being. The health and safety of our members and staff is our top priority. In light of unfolding events with COVID-19, we ask in accordance with the State of California mandate that you wear a mask when coming in to the branch and maintain six feet of social distancing from others. If you would prefer to use a drive-thru, our Tulare branch has temporarily re-opened the drive thru to assist members with transactions.

Our Locations & Hours

All branches will answer phone calls daily, Monday thru Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Please know that due to social distancing we are experiencing a higher volume in phone traffic and your wait time may be longer than normal.

Accessing Your Money

Members have access to free ATMs utilizing the CO-OP network. This network has nearly 30,000 ATMs nationwide, 9,000+ which are deposit-taking, so you are never far from your money when you need it. Click here for a map of ATMs in Visalia and Tulare.
